JBros were in Westchester, surprising kids at a theater! Then they had a press conference at the Westchester Country Club....thats like 5 minutes from my house. Less even!

she told me she was sending me a surprise. I had a feeling it was a signed headshot, but I also convinced myself it had a personal message and his phone number because he realized he was in love with me after our brief meeting.

This headshot is amazing though. I'm going to leave it in my desk for a couple days, then take it home and frame it and hang it up in my room.

The Lion King on Broadway

Tonight I went to see the Lion King on Broadway with my fam.

I had never really wanted to see it because I'm not a big fan of animals, and I never really liked the costumes.

Well, I was wrong. The costumes were amazing, and the production was so great. Disney's openings are always so fantastic.

i squealed this morning on the way to the subway. i was so excited for bow wow day. the time came, my palms were sweaty, my stomach started fluttering. he needs the side door, we open it, his manager walks in, then he walks in, then 2 other people walk in. i take them downstairs to their green room. we get introduced.

"Hi, I'm Lisa"
"Liiiisssaaaaaaaaa"

he repeated my name and looked me right in the eyes and smiled at me, a sly little smile, like he knew i have a massive crush on him. I think he did know. His rep probably told him. and thats ok with me.

Bow Wow is a little dude, super nice, funny, gorgeous eyes and lips, and i want to see him again. now.

slippers and disclaimers

So, i got contacted about my seriously?! Friday post, and I just want to put it out there that a good or bad band name does not reflect the music, and I don't judge music based on the name.

Last night Allison helped me knit slippers. You knit HUGE socks with 100% wool, then you put it in the wash or you scrub together in hot water to felt the slipper. Then you put your foot in it so it will shape to your foot.

This is the big slipper pre-felt.

I met up with my fam tonight for dinner, so i decided to walk after work instead of take the subway to be good.

That walk cost me $100. I have shopping problems. but i only bought 2 things. the perfume I wanted which was 50, and a shirt at Free People that was on sale, and so cute! so I bought it.

I love getting new things.

I completely see myself as Rebecca Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic sometimes. especially the part where the solution to her problems is winning the lottery.

I have 2 books out right now. I'm almost turning into a library, but not quite. If I have book you want, I'll send it to you to read if you send me one you like. then we can swap back. I like book swaps.

Working in music television, I see a whole ton of videos from a very colorful spectrum of bands. And Friday morning we watch the music videos that were submitted for the week in our video screening meeting, giving each submitted video an equal shot at making it onto our channel.

Skimming through the list of videos, there are always a few band names that make you stop and think...Seriously?! You're really calling your band that?

Which leads me to my Seriously?! Friday franchise. Every Friday I will let you into my world, one terrible band name at a time.

NYC LISTEN UP!!!!

Here's the plan: We will be tethering 999 red, heart-shaped, biodegradable
balloons to various objects in SoHo all along Broadway from Houston to
Canal. It will create a beautiful "alley of love" reminiscent of The Gates
in Central Park. We will have several inflation stations and we will
assign each participant a section of Broadway to cover.

slip and trip and lights and vegas

I was running down the stairs to get in my subway train since it was there with open doors. its humid and a damp out. There was an old lady turning the corner to come up the stairs but i didnt see her until i went down all the stairs, so when i tried to stop my momentum was too high and i slipped on the slippery platform and took the poor old woman down with me.

She was so startled! I asked her if she was ok, she just glared at me. The conductor was holding the doors open for me, so i got up and ran into the subway, opened my bag, took out The Great Gatsby and read until I got to work.

So funny.


Last night Marisa and I researched flights and hotels for our Vegas weekend in April.


then we went down to Mercury Lounge to see Lights:

but it was sold out and we had to go home.

bummer.

I think i burned all my cookie and cake calories off when blink 182 announced they were getting back together!

I decided to delete my video entry because i was WAY too excited. and I had a lot of sugar yesterday. I'm sorry. but i was out of control.

I said that I'm so so so excited about blink 182 reuniting. and I finished me sweet headband.

Blink 182

I had that poster on my wall in middle school. That and maybe 2 other Blink 182 posters. My dad kept telling me to take them down. He didnt like that they were in their underwear, and that they had tattoos. All the bands I listened to were "drug addicts and alcoholics".

I never took them down.

I got home from school one day and they were all ripped off my walls.


A few years later, on my first day of my first Warped Tour in LA, I was on stage with my winners watching Motion City Soundtrack. Halfway through the set Mark Hoppus comes on stage and stands next to me. Minor heart attack ensues.


Then this past summer on Warped Tour Angels & Airwaves played and I got to meet Tom Delonge. One night I even had a conversation with him, but had to cut it short because my insides were going nuts. I went back to my bus and screamed.



And now there are things being said about Blink 182 reuniting.
They are presenting together at the Grammy's this Sunday.
Rumors about then recording a new album.

Honestly, I don't need a new album from them. I just want to see them together, performing, on stage, for me.

I didn't even fan out over Mandy Moore when I met her. They're the only people I fan out over. It's strange. They make me feel like I'm 12.

Stock.

I'm trying to buy live nation stock, but I'm a day too late on all my bids. I keep trying to buy too low for that day, whereas if I entered in the price the previous day I would have been able to buy the stock.

dang it!

It went up like 30 cents in 2 days. I need to purchase it by end of day Monday. So hopefully it'll dip down enough during the day for me to grab some up at the price I want.

I got that little number in the mail yesterday. It's in my room until I give Laura back her TV which is in the living room.

I've never had a tv in my room before. I don't have a cable outlet in there, so I can only watch movies.

Last night i put in High School Musical 2 and watched it from bed.

It was AMAZING!
