I met tom delonge today.

Today I borrowed lycias bike to go to 7-11 to get teddy grahams. I came back and her and erica were sitting with tom delonge and 2 or 3 other dudes. After gathering up all my guts, I walked over and offered lycia teddy grahams, then got invited to sit down. Tom was in a white tshirt and long shorts, it was a refreshing outfit. I got introduced to him and a few minutes into the convo he started speaking about oingo boingo, so I told him the only song of theirs I have is turning japanese, then asked him if they wrote it or if it was a cover. Then he was trying to figure it out and I left the group and said goodnight, came back to my bus and FREAKED out. Amazing.

redecorating

my parents are in italy. My brother decided to redecorate the mantel with his award certificates. I later added my graduation pictures. The rest of the room is filled with really nice, framed paintings and other works of art and antiques. My face is a work of art.

BBQ party

This is what is going on right now:
90's trivial pursuit. and a lot of arguing.

clever

I love clever packaging.

One of my favorite websites is www.thedieline.com/blog/ which rules. It shows all packaging designs.

I have a strong interest in design, if you haven't noticed.

Skate park

I just went to the skate park with mike. I've had my skateboard for a few years now and I've only ridden it a couple times, and I'm pretty dang terrible. So I told mike he needs to show me how its done. and he did. he even offered to hold my hands the first few times down the ramp. I took his offer.

I only wiped out once! i conquered the bunny slope (or whatever you call the baby ramp) and the medium ramp, and the one after that, but then I tried the bigger one and had to jump off my board bc I was going too fast. Meanwhile mike is going down everything and trying to grind and teach me tricks.

mike is my 7 year old cousin.

It was so sweaty out, we couldn't stay long. We were both dripping, it was gross. But I want to go back soon.

now i'm off to doms for a bbq.

my bbq/going away party is MONDAY at 2 at my house in Harrison, so come come come! Everyone is invited. I can't promise much bbq though, because I don't know how to turn on my grill....

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am SOOOO pissed off!

Let me show you the first part of the email I just received, one which I have been waiting YEARS for:

Congratulations! You have been selected to attend a WHEEL OF FORTUNEcontestant audition in your area (by invitation only). We have reserved the following appointment for you:

When: Wednesday July 2, 2008 Time: 9:00 AM

Where: The Westin New York at Times Square
(use 43rd St. entrance, go to the "Ambassador Room" on the 2nd floor)
270 W. 43rd St.
New York, NY 10036

DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be on f'n tour! WHEEL OF FORTUNE IS MY DREAM. you dont even understand. I have been applying to be on this show since high school. I've sent them so many emails. I would DOMINATE. I am so good at it. Julia and I both. We used to watch wheel of fortune while we were eating dinner pretty much everyday (and then we'd guess the lotto bc those were announced during the game, but we're not good at lotto)

I can't believe I wont be here. I honestly cannot believe this.

Last summer, this happened too. It was for this game show Chain Reaction. I applied, they called back, and I couldn't go because the schedule ran into Warped. But my roommates got to go on it and they got another friend to take my spot. BUMMED.

I love game shows.

I can't believe this.

this sucks.

my dreams are shattered.

this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. trust me, it took them at least 6 years to get that to me, I don't think they'll do it again.

Once I solved the puzzle "Shrimp Cocktail" as soon as they put up the blank spaces. Nobody said any letters yet, nobody said anything. I was right, it was shrimp cocktail.

wow.

features

My favorite features on boys-

eyes.

nose.
(jd's amazing.)

and backs.
This back is a little much though.

urinals can be pretty too

Clark Sorensen is a San Franciscan (?) artist who makes pretty urinals. I like them.

I also like this urinal. They etch images of flys in them so boys have something to aim at. It keeps the pee in the urinal and off the floor. genius. It's in an airport in Amsterdam.

I need to wear padding all over my body

I did it again. I cut myself and I have no idea how.

then I went to pump gas and bruised my thumb on my gas tank door.

wow.

getting ready for tour

I just went to target to buy my tour toiletries - lotions, vitamins, wet wipes, face cloths, ladies products, deodorant, etc - and it cost me $80 bucks. that sucks.

I cut my leg when I took my bags. One of the corners on a box hit my leg. I got to the car and I was bleeding. ONLY ME. only me. pathetic.

I also uploaded my laminate photo. Lots of security guards will be checking this baby out. (not like checking ME out, but my lammy...just wanted to clear that up. I know I'm conceited as all hell but I have to draw the line somewhere. this blog is where I draw the line.) Here it is:

I sewed up a bunch of dresses that needed to be altered since I have no boobs.

I'm wearing a turquoise dress with purple leggings and red shoes. I feel like a flower. a tropical one:

I'm going to the city tonight to see this band called Airborne Toxic Event tonight at Pianos (8 pm if you want to come). should be fun. I've never been to pianos.

box houses

I love clean and simple designs, but I don't really like houses like this. The windows are so intense, and its just too boxy. I like more of a design, more dimensions to a house.

I found that house at http://www.contemporist.com/. It's an awesome site about designs - furniture, architecture, lighting, interiors and more. It was made for me. I go on it a few times a day.

wtf?

http://my.mmoabc.com/article/Michael/3332/Capturing-that-WTF-Moment.html?login=no

wow. those pictures. wtf.

ghosts

I always think there are ghosts or spirits or something in my house at night. or mice running around because I'm used to my apartment. I think the ghosts are just the ac blowing against the paper hanging from my door.

this is why i dont do scary movies.

today is absolutely perfect outside. i cant believe its 8:08, it feels like its 4. I should stop going to bed at 4 am.

seriously i think my bladder broke. I always have to pee. really badly.

This is an awesome wine bottle holder:

Bad news bears and a head bag

Bad News Bears is such a freakin funny movie. The original. I don't trust the remake. This movie is so good, why would they want to remake it? Not one thing in this film needed to be redone. I can't believe some of the language used though. Great characters. I want to watch it again.

And here is a head bag. Its a purse or something. I don't even know where I found this . It's creepy as heck.

weird wardrobe.

This is called "Wardrom"

Basically, you throw your clothes on it and they stick. I think its a cool concept, but I could never deal with it. too messy.

anti gravity rooms are make believe

I learned today (though I should have learned or realized many years ago...) that Anti-Gravity rooms do not exist anywhere after my very short search for somewhere I can fly. I don't know, I guess I always thought there was one room in the world where you can step in and float in. As my little brother would say, " Li, you're retarded."

The way astronauts train for zero gravity situations is by flying in an airplane that makes big arches, so its like going down a drop in a roller coaster. You only get about 30 seconds of "weightlessness" per arch. Inertia. You can do it if you're rich and visit Las Vegas. They have a plane that does that for people called Zero Gravity or something, but its $3500 per seat.

Reason #452 I need to win the lottery.

beatboxing, of sorts

Summer art days

Matt wanted to have summer art days with me. days where he'd come over and we'd make art. Today was the first day. Kenny came after his jury duty. Kenny started out drawing a mountainous landscape, but after drawing the tips of the mountains he decided to write Coors Light on the remaining 3/4 of the page, making it a coors light tribute drawing. Matt drew facial features.

I painted these guys:

(this one is actually pretty big. and a lot better looking in person. the pic is from my phone)

After we finished art-ing, we went downstairs and played pool. then we made up a pool game. now they're at the bars in white plains. I'm here.

I can't believe I seriously called drake last night.

I have to go to the city early tomorrow to look at an apartment we're not going to buy. ughhh.

Drake Bell

I'm going to invite him to warped tour. maybe he'll call me back.

EDIT:
I totally did it. I'll keep you updated.

how they got stuff done in 1930

If you were an engineer/architect/construction worker, this is the stuff you had to put yourself through in the olden days.

this is the building of the empire state building. which was lit up purple and white for our graduation. thank you for building it. i really like the empire state building. i used to look straight at it through my window when i live in lafayette.

I don't trust it

The Malaysia Sky Bridge is crazy. I don't know if I'd cross it. actually, I would. I'll do almost anything once. But my heart would be beating reeeeaaaallll fast.

answers are encouraged

what are your thoughts on marriage?

I'm starting to think marriage is stupid. people change. how can you be in love with the person you married in 20 years? they're going to be different. you're going to be different. nobody can promise anything for the rest of their lives. and people get married wayyyy too quickly these days. i think i might not want to get married. i mean you can live with someone and have a life together, but not get married. thats too...permanent? scary?

but then again, its a kind of security. it makes you work harder if you promise yourself to someone.

bottom line - people change. i dont think you can be happy with one person for the rest of your life. maybe for a few years. more than a few years. but not for the rest of your life. i really don't think so. there are a few exceptions to this. but for the most part, no.

Felice Varini

Felice Varini is a crazy artist who uses his spaces to create optical illusions of sorts. So cool.

This is what it looks like from afar....
And this is what it really looks like, as you get closer...

I can't even imagine how much math and planning goes into creating such a perfect illusion. amazing.

messssyy

home. hanging out. fun. parents are in florida so nobody is bothering me. except for this mess in my room that I have to have all put away before they come home. so much stuff. 2 years in that one apartment, now I have to bring everything back to my high school room. I need to get rid of pretty much EVERYTHING in this room. and I already went through a good amount of it, plus what you're seeing is only one side of my room.

What a freakin headache.

tell me a joke so I can take breaks and have something to smile about.
