knit a hat.

I went to the yarn store with Allison last night and bought Pine green yarn and needles. And now I'm going to make that hat.

I'll keep you all updated on my progress throughout this experience.

I really enjoy "A Long Way Down" by Nick Hornby. Only a few pages left. It's about a group of 4 people who met because they all went up on this rooftop with the intentions of jumping off and ending their lives. But they all started talking and didn't jump that night. It's told from each of their points of view.

Next I'm reading "Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell.

Tonight is the last night for Restaurant week!

Tomorrow I have brunch with Ko, then Milk & Honey! wooo!

Sunday I FINALLY get to go to the dentist :)

I had a meeting with Keep A Breast, Spencers, and 2 other non-profits - I'm too young (www.Imtooyoungforthis.org) and Young Survival Coalition. (www.youngsurvival.org). They are both organizations focused on the lifestyle after cancer, particularly for young adults 18-39. I almost cried a few times during the meeting. not gunna lie. such inspiring people. And Spencers are amazing in their efforts and passion to help out.

So if you know anyone who is or has been affected by cancer, those are 2 amazing organizations aimed to help out cancer survivors.

  1. Lisa- are you going to milk & honey, meaning the most exclusive and hardest place to get into in the city???

  2. Yes, but its not that exclusive. You just need to do some hunting to get in there. You have to find their number (which always changes) and call to make a reservation. It's just a lot of work to get in :)

  3. Well I guess you just need to know the right people...when my Canadian friend was in town, we made a little bit of an effort to get the number (and tried out the owner's other three places) but came up short...enjoy!
